Poem

Lacking,
now backing
into all-
consuming want,

asking, then not
thinking
the asking
is taking effect,
so more asking…

all the while,
each one on target
striking the
intended dam

until a simple
drinking fountain
is freed but immediately
compounded

and what was empty
now can’t
retain

the torrential
blessings
