Friends, few things will add more to your life than following this simple dictum: Be hungry for your meals. And be very hungry for especially good meals. This, of course, also means: do not eat when you are not hungry. By not eating when you’re not hungry, the return of your hunger is assured, and from there, your next good meal.
The same goes with all actions in life. Be wary of acting when you are not hungry to act. Save it up. Only a fool sets their meal schedule in stone without any input from the stomach (I know I need to eat/act three times a day, so thus I do, no matter the directions the body is trying to give).
If you maintain your life force in such a rigid fashion, you may go days (or years!) on end without truly being hungry. And friends, there is nothing better than a good meal on an empty stomach. Few things are more unappreciated than a gourmet meal served to someone already full.
Save up your actions into meaningful, feasting outbursts of life output. Not until you’re starving to change your life will you do it. Skipping a meal from time to time is often the best kind of nutritional supplement.
What boring toil, to consume, day by day, a life you don’t hunger for in any way.
If you need it, don’t be afraid to take an “action fast” for a few days. By eschewing the easy answers long enough, the directions toward immediate gratifications, you’ll eventually find a famished desperation that tends toward more meaningful and long-term actions. Nobody works harder than a hungry person who knows exactly what they’re working for: their next meal that’s not otherwise assured.
