Do you know how the professional activist class makes its living? By slandering the world and bad mouthing humanity. There’s nothing they would like less than for you to wake up tomorrow morning with a sense of gratitude and joy, the ability to take things in stride, and to be sure in the knowledge that you do NOT have to assume personal responsibility for all of the world’s varied problems and injustices. I say, let us take a personal responsibility for the good we can do within each of our own small domains—and let us all work together to put these killjoys out of business! Isn’t it strange how those most vocal about rejecting traditional religion seem to be the biggest advocates for (an updated version of) original sin? Misery wants company, they used to say, but these days misery has gone full corporate. I say, sow the good with joy in your heart or get off the farmland!
The powerful support the professional activist class because they know that hopeless people can offer no resistance. The leaders of industry approve of them because they know that when our lives are sapped of all greater meaning we will turn to frivolous materialism for comfort. I, however, would not trade one line of my inspiration for their luxury cars or their comfortable houses! Let this line be a chorus, friends!
If there are 100 events that happen today that speak well of humanity and one that shows humanity in a negative light, these professional activists will always focus on the negative example! Crafting the exception into the rule—that is their art form! But how little we can learn through a negative agenda! Why would they truly want to fix anything? If every problem in the world was fixed tomorrow, they would almost certainly just invent new ones to keep themselves in business—and why would they wish upon themselves all of that extra work?
I strongly agree. There is often an anger built up in a lot of these activists that keep them from any possibility of objective conclusions.
