When survival is not at stake, life becomes a stage. But, really, survival is always at stake, right? All things are not staged as they seem.
But sometimes, this happens: we get absolutely convinced of the world's stagedom (sometimes this ends up being a lifelong condition), but then proceed to take our role(s) so seriously that we live our life entirely in character. Becoming a survival actor, we fear, above all, a final resolution to our storyline.
