Do I earn the tithe of the day’s potential and then relax? When your idea of productivity amounts to a paying up in full to the gods that showed you the way, your blessings are an inhale that you soon return in full.

Let me tell you: when you’ve finished the work you must do only then are you free to do the work that you should do. Growth is what escapes beyond a soil made fertile through consistent offerings. The planting and watering activities of your life are always extracurricular.

Perhaps you’re familiar with a certain voice, a distant cousin of the devil, quick on your shoulder assuring you you’ve done enough for the day the moment you’ve reached some arbitrary quota, assuaging that certain productivity numbers have been met. Tempting words that have done me in more times than I’d like to admit! But be warned: The minimum reached, you remain minimized yourself if you always only stop there.
