Take this morning, we cannot begin elsewhere. We are well-educated fish and our enemies have been spitting up the water in which we swim. It’s been happening since at least the 1960s.
What is water? What must be contended with? Root and stem — any serious renovation of the human spirit begins there - with the removal of artificial, untestable ideological abstractions. To undo the rot of the 60s should be the first task on any serious reformer’s to-do list. To envision a better world, we first must remove the tumor of that decade.
While the 1940s were undoubtedly the most violent, the 1960s in their totality might actually prove to be the most destructive for civilization in total, when the final accounting is taken of the 20th century hundreds of years from now. Likely the only convincing argument against this assertion will be something along the lines that only the violence and worldwide turmoil of the century’s first half made the absurdity of the 1960s possible at all (1914 being the century’s worst year due to all it directly and indirectly led to).
In a world of TikTok and the like, what chance is there to engage with ancient wisdom? How do we go about reintroducing history as a long-form concept, not in bite-sized narratives provided by educational institutions with distinct ideological motivations at hand?
DC is the new Constantinople. Americans, let us admit the task of our fate. The better part of Western civilization is likely to be lost by the end of the century. Where does the clawing back begin? With you, my friends.
Emphatic challenge. How does one begin?
