Finally, we are digging in! And doing it right as we move, because we are searching with our roots (and not against them!) and nobody else’s.
Every day they try to cut us off from this basis of action. We rise not due to the storming of fierce winds, on this or that given day, but from persistent growth, that includes all days without exception. Our chain of being, our individual flowering, still fed by its source.
We may (and often do) grow past who we were yesterday, winding our branches into sunnier spots (as a houseplant does!), but no longer do we renounce yesterday’s beliefs, actions, or placements. No. Our tendency now is almost the exact opposite. We rejoice in their necessity.
A wrong step is truly only wrong if it is also the final one. Otherwise, it is simply provisional. Even backtracking brings us further along our course in the end, the slight adjustments any driver makes are absolutely necessary to stay in the lane.
Those who want to cut us off from our yesterday, our culture, and our people’s yesterday, they do so not to prevent our misdirection, but to dam our direction altogether. That which ventures forward while also staying rooted (is what we once and again should aspire to be!). The growth of a plant is the perfect metaphor!
They would rather have us as a remnant vine or leaf, green to their passing eyes, and then withered and decomposed so as not to form an obstacle to their future passing.
Know your enemies, and then watch them. They’ll dissuade you from your strengths, and then copy what they’ve dissuaded you from!
Do not be cut off from your source! But this also isn’t an inducement to stay put either. Once again, knowing the difference (so valuable in this artificial world of ours) between the organic and the inorganic. Growth as a result of nutrients from your inner self, your deep base, versus the seeming growth of a fallen leaf picked up by the wind.
To Provisions!
