Mind Flight
Sit on a bench,
if possible
face a river,
and pretend
you are on
an airplane, midride.
Feel yourself
contained
and quieted:
because you
are going
there is
nowhere to go.
Go beyond
your senses
to realize
the slow flow
of the river
also includes
yourself
and that if you
remain like
this for
enough time
the current
will transport you
somewhere entirely
new.
