The best ideas to affect political discourse are ideas developed apart from political discourse. Which is to say, not buzzwords and buzz phrases. All the viral slogans and oft-repeated talking points in vogue on any given day are grown from purely political soil and, as such, are necessarily artificial and superficial. They are lab creations and not organically real, merely blow-up doll thought partners.
No matter what might be the trends of the day or the dominant opinion on social media, I vehemently maintain this: partisan political discussion does NOT contribute to the greater overall good of society. It is a trap that people who do not have our best interests in mind want us to fall into. Politics engenders co-conspirators and enemies, art creates communities and societies.
Be like Socrates, know you know nothing. Sadly, though, we have reached a point where even declining to give a political opinion (or opting out of the game entirely) is derided and seen as a suspicious stance in itself—clearly, political ideologues are tyrants bent on world conquest, one consciousness at a time. Avoid them at all costs—to maintain your personal sovereignty.
