Once and Future

Now incomplete, 
you are everything
you’ll want tomorrow
with hands full
of future, eyes
dreaming time, 

don’t leave
so quickly the flesh 
and earth and man
you’ll return to
grasping with mind,

the only
thing worth keeping now:
what you caught and
released yesterday.
