Morning Thoughts #276
Ask yourself this morning: what’s the big project that can sustain me? Let us, for once, be clear-sighted about the age we are living in, take it into account, and formulate ambitious though realistic possibilities. Our imagination has been put on a reservation. It is ourselves who mostly maintain the policy; we do not step beyond the boundaries, for there is always a show to watch, a consensus to maintain, a polite lie that it would be in poor taste to outwardly disagree with. We keep the truth of our world caged to short-form videos and narratives. Oh, but what possibilities there once were, what wild lands the conceptions of our lives, and now our rightful indigenous spirits have been pushed off them.
From the quiet, from the slow, a better conception germinates. Begin to live honestly again. Find a moment of silence from which to sip your coffee. Let your thoughts begin the day unleashed, and follow them.
