I do not want to let these days get away. Wild horses among the vegetation, grazing amidst pleasant moments. There’s always a beyond to worry about but, oh Lord, may you grant me a daily cattle guard to protect against straying thoughts. Impassable roads to impossible conjectures, an invisible fence around an imagination whose nature is to roam.
Yes, sometimes the best freedom is between two well-spaced cattle guards. How far we might realize we’ve come if we just leave maps out of the equation for once! If you’ve spent years of your life off-road, through rocky, winding digressions, what an accomplishment it is to even make it back to the main trail! Who cares if we’re just up the road from where we last lost it! Anyways, maybe the reason we’ve been so unsure of where we’re going is only because we’re headed somewhere so inconceivably new!
Be that as it may (and, oh, may it be!), today is a day to remain itself, a day to stall before its eventual sunset and squint out the last of its light. To feast upon the time laid out before us.
