The powerful lay in wait for the weak to make an aggressive mistake. What they are doing is provoking in wait! Attune your eyes and ears to the reality of the new religion, and you’ll begin to see it everywhere.
Power used to be its own credential—the conquering leader could gain glory from his conquests. No more! The democratic theocracy has taken over in appearance. The lie that is its underlying self necessarily means all its proclamations are surface level. Floating doctrines, all of them!
Today, to be powerful requires adeptness at hiding one’s strength, both for the powers that be as well as for you and me. For us, to reveal ourselves too much, to show the gaining might of our own personal independence movements, means to be cut down by the great entrenchment, the great leveller, the mass of accumulated convention. Or maybe just an HR department!
Oh, believe me, the convention has new skin, even as it fights the idea of the position it holds. It’s a consolidation method—solidifying its already strong hold by calling off the race for power now that it has gained the lead.
Back to the point: the aggressors can no longer stand naked; they must veil their aggression with righteous defense. They are ever the responding victim. The veneer of their morality dictates that any attack must be a response, so they do all they can to provoke it, often subconsciously!
Always in supposed response to a threat, see how the bad conscience of power forces it to operate today! Where once the shame of the body meant we’d veil every inch, a new day has dawned: modesty of the personal body has been replaced with modesty of the governing body. The only thing not covered are the imitation halos they’ve seen fit to crown themselves with!
Oh 21st century, how the victors of the 20th lie to themselves! They truly think they’re still fighting the power when what they are really fighting, ruthlessly, is anyone that seems to present even the least threat to their control.
