Out on the plains, thinking and thinking, waiting for something worthy of being called a view, towards which to move. Too much of this, and you’ll find your life path has been dragged into two: the journey to find your journey and then your journey itself! When we heap delay upon delay, we risk that first stage completely eclipsing the second!
Friends, sometimes, it’s as simple as a matter of working. Better to work through what you know in your heart you’re not supposed to do than to do no work at all. Meaningless work leads to meaningful work far more often than doing nothing at all leads to meaningful work. Let us not forget that stillness and illness rhyme!
And if you find yourself unemployed, it is not a license to refrain from work! Instead, it presents a chance to redefine work: now you have the opportunity to establish the demands, deadlines, and responsibilities that were once imposed by an external authority. Perhaps you may discover the absence of an inner authority capable of making such demands. If that is the case, few realizations are more important! Working towards creating an inner authority with a voice you respect enough to follow and listen to is the true essence of meaningful work! Listen to that part of yourself that demands self-discipline or else speak it into existence!
